Atlantic City Cop Stabbed, Man Shot by Police

An Atlantic City police officer was stabbed Friday evening and a man was shot by police in the same area.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office says an ACPD officer was stabbed around 6:30 Friday evening in the 600 block of North Kentucky Avenue. Authorities also say a man was shot by police in the same location.

Few details have been released at this time, but the officer was taken to ARMC-City and is in stable condition. The man who was shot was also taken to ARMC-City; his condition was not made public in a press release.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit is investigating the incident.
