Atlantic City Man Wounded in Shooting

An Atlantic City man is recovering after being shot Thursday afternoon.

The Atlantic City Police Department says their officers responded to the 300 block of Tennessee Avenue for a ShotSpotter alert around 5:00 Thursday afternoon. They say a 27-year-old man from Atlantic City had been struck by gunfire; he was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center-City Division for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is being led by the ACPD Violent Crimes Unit. Anyone with information about this shooting is asked to call police at (609) 347-5766.
