Atlantic City Mayor & Craig Callaway Agree to Settle Slander Lawsuit
Atlantic City, New Jersey Mayor Marty Small and an arch political nemesis, Craig Callaway have agreed to settle a nasty four-year-old dispute.
Make no mistake about it … this round ended in Marty Small’s favor.
In October. 2020, Callaway made certain unproven (public) allegations against Marty and La’Quetta Small.
At the time, Callaway accused Marty and La’Quetta Small of certain wrongdoing, that we will not re-aggravate here.
Marty Small wasted no time in filing litigation against Callaway for slander.
In the end, both sides agreed to avoid going to a public trial and instead entered into a settlement agreement to formally resolve the matter.
Craig Callaway was represented by attorney Seth Grossman in this case. Because the settlement agreement appears to strictly limit what either side is allowed to discuss publicly, Grossman and Callaway are not commenting about the settlement.
However, we have confirmed that Small has prevailed in this matter.
It ended with Callaway having to admit to being at fault in this case.
The allegations made by Callaway could not be proven and we will not repeat them here … as it would exploit charges that were not proven and that’s not the right thing to do.
Case closed.
