Atlantic City Mayor: Criminal Defense Lawyers & Reasonable Doubt

Only time will tell, but, to date, it appears that the Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small criminal defense lawyers are doing a very good job in his child abuse criminal trial.

Child Abuse & Witness Tampering Criminal Charges

Regarding each and every issue brought out by the prosecution, the Small legal team has had a credible response … in pursuit of trying to establish reasonable doubt in the minds of the jury.

For example, a prosecution witness for testified that Marty Small did not ask his daughter to lie about how she suffered a head injury.

Instead, the witness (an investigator) said that Smalls’ daughter is the one who made up a story about her head injury … which resulted in her going to the Atlantic City Medical Center a few days after the incident.

The Broom Incident

The defense team worked hard to try and establish that the daughter held a butter knife (towards her father) and made the first move for the broom and that Marty Small was involved in a defensive tussle and that he was not the aggressor.

No Way To Really Know At This Time How The Jury Feels About The Case

However, several law-enforcement persons that I have spoken with, believe that the defense is doing a very good job in establishing potential reasonable doubt.

Prosecution May Wrap-Up Its Case …

… Tomorrow, Friday, December 12, 2025.

This would allow the defense to put on its case beginning this Monday, December 15, 2025.

It is imperative that the prosecution end strong tomorrow, because the jury will have the weekend to ponder whether the state has created reasonable doubt in their presentation before the jury.
