Atlantic City, NJ Area Hospital First In Tri-States To Offer This
In a live, on-air interview that we conducted earlier this week, Dr. Kay Yoon-Flannery broke major news with us that will lead to life-changing outcomes for woman and men with breast cancer.
AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center
Became the first healthcare system in the tri-state region to offer robotic nipple-sparing mastectomy (RNSM) using the da Vinci Single Port (SP) surgical system.
This brings a new FDA-cleared breast cancer surgery option to the South Jersey region.
How Did This Happen?

Dr. Kay Yoon-Flannery, DO, MPH, FACS, Chief of Women’s Oncology at AtlantiCare Cancer Care Institute, will lead the procedure.
Dr. Flannery is the first breast surgeon from the United States invited to South Korea and permitted to receive training in the ground-breaking procedure.
Dr. Flannery told us that South Korea has been doing this breast surgery option for the past decade.
AtlantiCare Has Shared The Following News About How The Doctor — Robotic Platform Works
RNSM was FDA cleared in December 2025, and recent data presented at the American Society of Breast Surgeons annual meeting found positive safety outcomes. This advancement is significant for patients with breast cancer, offering eligible individuals access to life-saving treatment while helping preserve their sense-of-self and quality of life, said AtlantiCare.
