Police in Atlantic City say a man who was armed is facing a long list of charges after a foot pursuit over the weekend.

Sunday night at around 9:30, the Atlantic City Police Department says one of their detectives received information about a man with a gun on the beach block of California Avenue.

Detective Dodson, along with Detectives Aaron Jones and Eric Evans, and Officer Brandon Bower, located Quadry Wise. As detectives approached to investigate, Wise began to run. As he attempted to jump a fence, he was apprehended and taken into custody without further incident.

Police say a handgun was in Wise's pants and he had 58 grams of marijuana that was packaged for distribution.
