Atlantic City, NJ, Police Arrest EHT Man with Warrant & Handgun
The Atlantic City Police Department has taken another handgun off of the streets of Atlantic City, New Jersey … catching a car passenger who had left the scene.
It resulted in the capture of an individual with an outstanding warrant and a handgun.
The Atlantic City Police Department has revealed the following about this incident:
On September 22, 2024, at 7:50 PM, patrol officers responded to Route 30 and Grammer-cy Avenue for a report of a motor vehicle crash. Officer Zayon Pitts arrived to learn that two occupants in one of the vehicles had fled the scene on foot. Officer Pitts located the passenger, Joey Osias, several blocks from the crash scene. Osias was found to have an active warrant for his arrest and placed in cus-tody. He was also found in possession of a handgun that had been reported stolen from Wildwood, Nu, and prescription medication.
Additionally, the driver, Cimeron Oglesby, was located and the Atlantic City Police Department issued a traffic summons for careless driving and failure to report an accident.
No injuries were reported as a result of this incident. Both cars were towed from the scene.
ARRESTED: Joey Osias, 25, of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.
CHARGES: Unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of hollow-point ammunition, possession of a high capacity magazine, receiving stolen property, and possession of CDS.
