
Atlantic City, NJ Police Takes Another Gun Off The Streets & More
The Atlantic City Police Department have been highly focused on getting guns off of the streets of Atlantic City, New Jersey.
They have succeeded in this regard, again.
This latest example should serve notice that when the Atlantic City Police Department asks for your help … the process works … as a citizen tip made this latest arrest possible.
About this latest incident, the Atlantic City Police Department said:
“On February 7, 2025, at 5:47 PM, Officers Michael Regalbuto and Glen Robinson were provided information by Detective Christopher Dodson in reference to a male named Vladimir who was in possession of a handgun near Sovereign and Atlantic Avenues. In addition, this information was provided to tip411 by a concerned citizen, the department's anonymous text service. Acting on the information, the officers located Vladimir Baires-Hernandez at Sovereign and Arctic Avenues. Baires-Hernandez was placed in custody after being found in possession of a loaded handgun,” said the Atlantic City Police Department.
Reported crime is down in Atlantic City. Now, the perception of crime in Atlantic City is improving. There is a long way to go, but, it is starting to improve.
You can’t overstate how important this is to Atlantic City, as a world class destination resort.
In order to maximize casino, restaurants and other non-gaming attractions, Atlantic City must be perceived as a safe town to live, work and play.
ARRESTED:
Vladimir Baires-Hernandez, 21 years old, from Atlantic City, New Jersey.
CHARGES:
- Unlawful possession of a weapon.
- possession of hollow-point ammunition.
- possession of a defaced firearm.
- possession of a large capacity magazine.
Baires-Hernandez is currently bring housed at the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
