Atlantic City, NJ, Receives Great News From National Magazine

Atlantic City, New Jersey has been taking some hard knocks over the past several years for earning the perception of being both unsafe and unclean.

This is a devastating combination when you are seeking to be a world class destination resort.

A bright spot has been the Visit Atlantic City organization, which continues to do a great job bringing conventions and meetings to Atlantic City.

Their success in bringing world class business to Atlantic City has played a significant role in Atlantic City earning some important recognition.

The trade publication “MEET Magazines” has selected Atlantic City as the 25th Best City in The United States for Conventions.

Atlantic City did not make the Top 25 cities list last year, or, in previous years.

In the just released data, Atlantic City finished right behind Miami Beach, Florida in the rankings.

Atlantic City joined the index this year due to a drop in room rates (down 13% to $201) and a rise in safety (up 9% to 75). Renovations at many casinos and a $26 million boardwalk repair project are underway, enhancing the city's appeal.

Atlantic City desperately needed a win and they got one here.
