Atlantic City Residents Receive Possible Relocation Letters
All Atlantic City residents of the Stanley S. Holmes Village have received letters that they may be displaced from their homes for an undisclosed period of time.
We have obtained a copy of the letter and we will share its entire contents with you.
These residents have been through very difficult times for many years.
They have faced extended periods with no heat, air conditioning or water.
Their homes have been infested with insects and rodents.
It’s a disgrace that human beings have had to endure such inhumane conditions.
Residents are being asked to discard all unwanted items from their units as they prepare to relocate.
On a case by case basis, the residents will be relocated as follows:
- Some within Stanley Holmes Village.
- Jeffries Towers.
- John P. Whittington.
- Altman Terrace.
- Shore Park High Rise.
- Walter Busby Village
- Other scattered sites.
Additionally, some residents may be relocated to a hotel if their units require full rehabilitation.
Here’s the actual letter. I apologize for its blurry condition … but, I want you to see the entire letter, which is dated April 10, 2023.
