Atlantic City Candidate, A Reverend — Own Church Is Election Day Polling Site
Colins Days, Sr. Is The Reverend of the Second Baptist Church in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Days is also the Democratic Nominee for Atlantic County Commissioner in District 1.
The Second Baptist Church is an Election Day Polling site, which obviously isn’t fair this year with Days running.
Death of Former Atlantic County Commissioner Ernest Coursey
Days was appointed to the Atlantic County Board of Commissioners following the death of Ernest Coursey.
We Reached Out To Days’ Opponent George Tibbitt
Tibbitt is a 20-year Atlantic City Councilman and the Republican Nominee for Atlantic County Commissioner versus Days.
Tibbitt was polite and diplomatic about his opponents own church serving as an election polling place.
Obviously, it’s not an ideal situation, however, I have full confidence in the Atlantic County Board of Elections and the integrity of our voting system, said Atlantic City Councilman Tibbitt.
2nd Baptist Church Has Been An Election Day Polling Site for Many Years
We don’t want to give the impression that this polling site was hand-picked for this election because Reverend Days is running for office.
However, once Days became the Democrat Nominee, the Atlantic County Board of Elections should have taken corrective action and selected a neutral polling site.
