Atlantic City Spirit Air Flyers: Lost Rewards & Credit Card Issues

I am personally sadden by the official notice from Spirit Air that they have shut down their operations, effective immediately.

After the sadness of Spirit Air closing, you think about the business aspect … such as what about your travel rewards points and credit cards associated with Spirit Air?

Our Free Spirit reward points and any travel vouchers you have accumulated will likely become worthless, as there is no way to transfer them to any other airline.

Your Spirit World Mastercard Credit Card

This Spirit Air credit card is co-branded with the Bank of America.

This is not yet confirmed, but, if past is prologue… There is a good chance that your Spirit Air Mastercard will  be converted into another travel rewards product by the Bank of America.

Tickets That You Have Purchased … But, Not Yet Have Used

You should be fine here, as you are entitled to what’s known as a credit card charge back for non-delivery of service.

This is a big personal loss for our Family. I will lose a substantial number of Spirit Air Rewards Points… but, my only feelings right now are how grateful I am to have had the service of Spirit Air for these many decades.
