New Jersey State Monitor Has Approved The Dr. La’Quetta Small Employment Contract

Without this approval, the matter would be rendered moot, as state approval is required under the current oversight role.

A confidential Atlantic City Board of Education source has advised me that the state of New Jersey and the State Monitor “love La’Quetta.”

Highest New Jersey Superintendent Salary

This is based on 2024-2025 data, with the highest-superintendent salary for a New Jersey public school (including charter and vocational schools) goes to Leigh Byron of the Trenton STEM-to-Civics Charter School, with a salary of $ 360,000 to $396,000.

For only traditional public schools, the highest salary goes to Norma Fernandez of Jersey City Public Schools at $ 322,272,

As you can see above, La’Quetta Small is within striking distance of this in Year 1 of her new employment contract.

The husband — wife Team Small duo are the chief executive officers of all city and public schools operations for Atlantic City.

I am not aware of any other such achievement in all of America. It is rather extraordinary.
