Atlantic County, New Jersey government is employing artificial intelligence and advanced technology to assist those in need of emergency assistance and food stamps.

For residents seeking food and shelter for themselves and their family members, time is of the essence, said Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson. Being the second poorest county in the state, the number of residents in need continues to grow. We recognize the importance of providing efficient and responsive customer service. This new software is a tremendous tool that we are pleased to implement and have serve as a model throughout the state, said Levinson.

Atlantic County Government Is Collaborating With Technology Company

Atlantic County Government is partnering with TipCo Automated Systems. They are a women-owned technology company whose philosophy is to improve access to those who are in need.

With the support of EVA, staff can focus more of their time on case management, said Levinson. We believe this will help us become more efficient in meeting our customers' needs. We look forward to identifying how other areas of our organization could also benefit from this new technology, said Levinson.

The EVA, Artificial Intelligence system has the capability to handle more than 1000 simultaneous phone calls.

The artificial intelligence also never takes a day off, as the system is available on a 24/7 basis.
