Two Attempted Stabbing Murders In Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey
The Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey Police Department has confirmed that there are two stab victims, surrounding an attempted murder incident.
The Egg Harbor Township Police Department Has Released The Following Incident Details — From Earlier Today
On Sunday, August 9, 2026 at approximately 3:42 am officers responded to the 2700 Block of Fire Road for a report of a stabbing that just occurred. Upon arrival, officers located two stab victims and they were immediately transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center. The victims suffered multiple stab wounds to the face and body. Even though the injuries are severe they were later determined not to be life threatening, said the Egg Harbor Township Police Department.
About Carlos Garcia-Moreno, 36 Years Old, From Pleasantville, New Jersey
During the Egg Harbor Township Police Department investigation — they determined that Garcia-Moreno was their subject.
About 6 hours after their investigation began, Garcia-Moreno, turned himself in the Egg Harbor Township Police Department.
Garcia-Moreno Is Charged With A Laundry List Of Offenses
- Attempted Murder - 2 counts.
- Aggravated Assault with a Weapon - 2 counts.
- Home Invasion Burglary.
- Endangering the Welfare of a Child - 3 counts.
- Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purposes.
- Possession of a Weapon.
- Terroristic Threats.
Current Status Of The Investigation
Garcia-Moreno is currently being housed at the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
The case is being investigated by the following:
- Detective Sergeant Brett Fair.
- Detective Patrick Daly.
- Officer Tahsin Chowdhury of the Egg Harbor Township Police Department.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office and Atlantic City Police Department are assisting with the investigation.
