
Baltimore Man Killed in Crash on Route 47 in Middle Twp., NJ
One person was killed and two others were injured in a nasty accident in Cape May County Sunday morning.
Baltimore Man Killed in Goshen, NJ
The Middle Township Police Department says their officers were called out to Route 47 in Goshen around 9:00.
According to authorities, a preliminary investigation determined a Hyundai Santa Fe was traveling northbound on Route 47 North when the vehicle crossed into the southbound lane and struck a Buick Encore.
The driver of the Hyundai, Robert Burch of Baltimore, was pronounced dead at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center-City Division.
The passenger, a 70-year-old woman, was extricated from the vehicle and transported to ARMC-City for further treatment.
The driver of the Buick, a 66-year-old woman, was taken to Cooper Medical Center for treatment.
Route 47 was closed for about 4 hours while the scene was cleared by police, the Goshen and Cape May Court House Fire Departments, the New Jersey Department of Transportation, and AtlantiCare Emergency Medical Services.
The accident remains under investigation.
Second Fatal Crash on Route 47 in 2 Weeks
This is the second fatal accident on Route 47 in Goshen this month.
On Sunday, June 8th, 52-year-old Javier Ayala of Wildwood was killed when he reportedly lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree. A passenger in that car was injured.
