
Bed Bath & Beyond in Mays Landing, NJ, Among 80+ Stores Closing Across the Country
As Bed Bath & Beyond teeters on bankruptcy, the chain has announced that 87 stores in 10 states will be closing.

One of those stores is on the Black Horse Pike in Mays Landing.
Within the past couple of days, "everything must go" and "nothing held back" signs were covering the windows of the store in the Hamilton Commons Shopping Center.
Effective immediately, everything in the store has been marked down up to 20 percent off.
Other Bed Bath & Beyond locations in the Garden State that will be closing are,
- Bridgewater
- Mount Laurel
- Kinnelon
- Matawan
- Flemington
Not just BBB
In addition, the company said it would close five buybuy Baby stores and all locations of its beauty store brand, Harmon. The retailer said the new closures expand an ongoing program to close 150 of its lowest-performing stores. It had previously announced the shuttering of 62 stores in September, and 56 more in January.
Bankruptcy soon?
Reuters reported on Monday,
Bed Bath & Beyond Inc (BBBY.O) is preparing to seek bankruptcy protection as soon as this week, and has lined up liquidators to close additional stores unless a last-minute buyer emerges, four people familiar with the matter said on Monday.
