Before The New Plan, There Was The Original Golden Nugget (Photos)
Last week, we revealed photos of the new plans for original Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Here are just a few of them.
The photos above are courtesy of Rocco Sebastiani, the newest owner of this iconic property, located at Boston Avenue and The Boardwalk in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Thanks to Paul Steelman, an original architect of the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino Atlantic City, we were able to previously share for the first time … never before seen photos of the Golden Nugget during its construction back in 1980.
The photos that you will see below are more than 40 years old and were taken at a time when you needed to load a camera with film and have photographs developed and processed.
This makes the 30 photos directly below even more meaningful and rare.
They are just like a precious time capsule.
I took a tour of the original Golden Nugget in the recent past. The “bones” of this Steve Wynn building are in great condition.
Sebastiani has 108 spacious, luxury condominiums planned for the original Golden Nugget hotel tower.
The second tower may become a Hyatt or Hilton, 330-room, full service hotel.
Sebastiani also won the right last week to pursue his development directly with the state of New Jersey. The state removed Sebastiani’s project from Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small and the local building departments.
Directly below, is a very rare and spectacular photo gallery of exclusive photos … courtesy of Paul Steelman of the original Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino.
