The special limited Reese’s Thanksgiving Peanut Butter Cup Pie from Hershey has created a lot of deserved buzz on the Information Super Highway.

Hershey also (brilliantly) created a supreme supply and demand craze by only making 3,000 of these gigantic masterpieces.

What a great idea. Take something that people have absolutely loved for generations … The Reese’s peanut butter cup. Then, super size it to make it look like The Land of The Giants … a full 9-inch wide, 3.4 pound magnum-sized version.

This takes the chocolate lovers scale off the charts.

Only 3,000 of the coveted pies were available for purchase on Hershey's website — for $ 44.99 each. All 3,000 specialty pies sold out in the blink of an eye.

Hershey’s told Yahoo!Finance:

“We are astounded that the Reese’s Thanksgiving Pie sold out in under 2 hours. We knew our fans would be excited and want this for their holiday celebrations. Currently, we do not have plans to restock this year but you never know what 2022 will hold for Reese’s.”

While you won’t be able to get any more of these monster pies this year, Reese's redirects you to more holiday treats it debuted in September, including a holiday-flavored peanut brittle, an advent calendar, and a Reese's shaped like an an ugly sweater, along with other holiday items.

It’s been a very sweet year for Hersey’s, as shares of The Hershey Company are up 16.7% year-to-date.

NOTE: I wish that I could have scored one of these for former The Hershey Company executive Tom Cantone.
