Atlantic City activist said the following:
Residents of Atlantic City are deeply concerned about the neglect and corruption within the Atlantic City Housing Authority (ACHA), the Board of Commissioners, and responsibility of HUD. We have witnessed firsthand the deteriorating conditions of our public housing units, the lack of necessary repairs, maintenance, heat, hot water and the blatant disregard for the well-being of the residents' safety and health. We believe that only through external oversight and intervention can the issues within the organization be addressed and resolved.
Here is a review of expenses for the last 2½ years at Stanley Holmes Village, where residents have been living without heat, hot water, and some without cooking facilities… amongst bug and rodent infested conditions for multiple years.
