Buena, NJ, Bar Brawl: Man With Gun Stabbed, Another Wanted, Police Say
Authorities say one man was stabbed and another is wanted for questioning in connection to a bar brawl last weekend.
The incident happened around 12:30 early last Sunday morning, January 7th, at L's Central Jersey Station Bar & Restaurant on Wheat Road in Buena.
After receiving a call about a shooting at the bar, officers with the Franklin Township Police Department arrived and determined there was a fight between several patrons.
During the scuffle, one man was stabbed. Police say that man then, "retrieved a firearm from a vehicle on location and re-entered the bar while brandishing the handgun."
The victim, who was identified as a 32-year-old man from Millville, was later located at Inspira Hospital in Vineland with a stab wound to his torso.
He has been charged with the following:
- Second-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose
- Second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon
- Fourth-degree certain person to not possess a weapon
After being released from the hospital, the unidentified man was lodged at the Atlantic County Justice Complex.
Wanted For Questioning
Meanwhile, police continue to look for the man shown in the following photo for questioning regarding the stabbing.
Detectives investigating this case did not determine that shots were fired during the brawl.
