Candidate Expands Lead in Race for Governor of New Jersey
A new internal poll, conducted by Kellyanne Conway yields that Jack Ciatterelli has expanded his lead in the Republican Primary election for Governor of New Jersey.
Ciatterelli has a commanding 42% to 13% lead over Bill Spadea. State Senator Jon Bramnick barely registers at just 4%, and former State Senator and former Mayor Mario Kranjac are each at 2%.
David Wildstein, New Jersey Globe founder, publisher and editor was the first to publicly reveal the results of Conway’s poll.
Ciatterelli has substantial competitive advantages versus all challengers … name recognition, organization, fund raising and the fact that Ciatterelli received 48.5 percent of the popular vote versus incumbent Governor Phil Murphy four years ago in the 2021 General Election.
New Jersey has a tendency to reward the heir apparent in the next election cycle; Jim Florio, Christy Whitman and Jim McGreevey to name three.
Ciatterelli is undoubtedly the heir apparent.
Wildstein has obtained interesting tabulars from the poll including:
- Ciattarelli's favorable rating versus disapproval raring is are 53%-9%.
- Spadea is 26%-20%.
- Bramnick is at 12%-8%.
From the polling memo notes:
"Four months out, following the first debate, the polling reflects the race we've seen across endorsements, fundraising, and other campaign activities. Jack Ciattarelli maintains a big lead, and Bill Spadea fails to gain any traction," a polling memo stated. "After seven months of campaigning, Spadea remains in the teens, at 13%."
United States President Donald Trump remains wildly popular with New Jersey Republicans at 90%-9%, which are historic in nature.
Former Gov. Chris Christie remains overwhelmingly unpopular among Republicans in his home state, with upside-down favorables of 28%-65%.
Bramnick is the Chris Christie candidate in the Republican Primary Election.
65 percent of respondents say that they would be more likely to support a candidate who is endorsed by President Trump.
75 percent said they want an “America First, Trump like” candidate for the Republican Nominee.
There is no official confirmation whether or not President Trump is going to endorse one of the Republican candidates in the June, 2025 primary.
President Trump remains the only Factor that could reshape this race, which decidedly remains in Jack Ciaterrelli‘s favor.
