Cantone Installs Chris Rock Into Mohegan Sun Arena ‘Walk Of Fame’
Before last night’s show at The Mohegan Sun Arena, Chris Rock was installed into the coveted Mohegan Sun “Walk of Fame.”
Tom Cantone, President of Sports and
Entertainment Worldwide for Mohegan, presented
Rock with the honor during a private ceremony that was held back-stage.
Rock is a Grammy and Emmy Award-winner, as well as a comedian, actor, director, writer, and producer.
Rock is the 37th inductee to earn a place on the Mohegan Sun Walk of Fame.
"In a world that needs more laughter, how timely is it
to induct Chris Rock, who is now forever enshrined
into the Mohegan Sun Entertainment family," said
Tom Cantone, President of Sports and Entertainment
Worldwide for Mohegan.
Rock performed last night in what has been billed as his “Ego Death World Tour.” It is the his fourth show at Mohegan Sun Arena since 2008.
Rock has sold-out the Mohegan Sun Arena all 4 times thst he has headlined.
All inductees into the Mohegan Sun Walk of Fame
have a plaque with their name engraved. It is permanently placed at the entrance to Mohegan Sun
Arena.
Rock autographed his plaque as you can see below.
Rock joins other superstar inductees such as, Keith Urban, Bon Jovi, KISS, Hart, Kenny Chesney and 31 others.
The criteria to gain entrance into Mohegan Sun's Walk of Fame, “we seek to recognize individuals and organizations who have made significant contributions to the success of Mohegan Sun as the Northeast's premier entertainment destination,” said Cantone.
The Mohegan Sun Arena is ranked among the top venues in the world according to Billboard Magazine,
Pollstar and VenuesNow.
Mohegan Sun Arena won its first "#1 Indoor Arena" ranking for its capacity in the world in 2021, according to Pollstar and VenuesNow and is ranked among the the Top 10 venues in the United States.
Cantone won the “2021 Innovator of the Year" by Celebrity Access for its ViacomCBS residency.
Cantone led a world-class level collaboration that safely reopened The Mohegan Sun Arena during the COVID-19 pandemic.
