Clayton Woman Pleads Guilty to Brutal Atlantic City Casino Attack

Mays Landing, N.J. — A Gloucester County woman has pleaded guilty to a brutal attack at the Tropicana Casino in Atlantic City, kicking a woman in the face and leaving her unconscious with a fractured nose and a subdural hematoma.

Anntanette Johnson of Clayton pleaded guilty Tuesday to second-degree aggravated assault. An agreement calls for a recommended three-year state prison sentence under the No Early Release Act.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said that on March 1, Atlantic City police responded to the Tropicana for a report of a physical altercation.

When officers arrived, they watched Johnson approach the victim, who was already on the ground and not involved in the altercation, and kick her in the face.

The victim was knocked unconscious and suffered a subdural hematoma and a fractured nasal bone.

Sentencing is scheduled for October 6.
