
Coast Guard Searching For Missing Swimmer in Atlantic City
A person who went into the water in Atlantic City last night has not been found.
Officials with the US Coast Guard say a swimmer went missing near the Steel Pier in Atlantic City Tuesday night at about 10PM. Atlantic City Police say a man saw someone enter the water, but not return.
According to a news release from the Coast Guard:
The Coast Guard launched a 29-foot Response Boat-Small crew from Station Atlantic City along with an MH-65 Dolphin rescue helicopter crew from Air Station Atlantic City to conduct initial searches.
The Coast Guard Cutter Mako, an 87-foot patrol boat based out of Cape May, was diverted to the scene and searched throughout the night.
