Detour At Busy Intersection In Egg Harbor Township, NJ For 3 Weeks

Atlantic County government is providing advanced notice about a road detour that will be in effect at Bargaintown/Fire Roads in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey for an extended period of time.

The detour will begin on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 and is projected to remain in effect for approximately 3 weeks.

The detour will be located between Mill Road and Zion Road.

Weather permitting, work will be taking place on the Southbound lane between 7:00 a.m  to 4:00 p.m.

The Northbound lane will remain open during this construction project.

South Jersey Gas will be performing utility work.

There will be posted signage for Southbound motorists to be able to follow along the designated detours.

The County of Atlantic advises motorists to allow for extra time because of delays, or, to avoid the area altogether during the next 3 weeks.

Police and other traffic personnel will be on hand to assist and direct motorists.

This is a highly trafficked area. Please be guided accordingly.
