Two of the biggest retailers have already announced their plans to keep their doors closed on Thanksgiving Day 2020.

The list of stores closing continues to grow as Dick's Sporting's Goods will close and allow their employees to enjoy the holiday with family and friends, according to CNN.com.

Walmart was the first big retailer to announce they would close on Thanksgiving for the fort time since the late 80's. Target just announced their holiday plans for 2020 which includes closing on of the bigger shopping days of the year, Thanksgiving Day.

Most of shopping for Thanksgiving 2019 did occur online.  A record was set when more than $4.2 billion dollars was spent by online shoppers.

More and more retailers will join the closed for Turkey Day list allowing workers to spend the holiday with family and friends.
