Did Atlantic City Mayor ‘Party Marty’ Profit During ‘NJ League’?

An City of Atlantic City elected official wrote us to say:

“He (Marty Small) is making money off of the League of Municipalities.”

Whether Small directly profited from a party he held on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 remains shrouded in mystery.

Even after looking into this for almost two weeks, we still can’t say for sure if this was a Marty Small personal event … or, an official City of Atlantic City government event … or, a combination of the two.

For Smalls’ sake, we sure do hope that it was an official City of Atlantic City event … because that’s how Small promoted it … writing in his advertisement, with his photograph … Visit Atlantic City brand name and the New Jersey League of Municipalities logo:

”Atlantic City Official Kickoff Event.”

This much we do know:

The Mayor who is known as “Party Marty,” did hold a party during New Jersey League of Municipalities.

The title of Smalls’ party advertisement read:

Visit Atlantic City - New Jersey - Atlantic City’s Mayor Marty Small, Sr.

Small used the Visit Atlantic City font., logo likeness.

It gets even more odd, as Small advised the following on his social media post, whereby Small was personally marketing VIP Sections, inclusive of the price for alcoholic beverages … as if Small is the account executive for the party.

Marty Smalls’ many detractors believe that he may have personally profited from this event.

I’m not so sure. However, Atlantic City Council should investigate this matter.

For example, how much did the City of Atlantic City pay for the use of space at ACX1, formerly The Pier Shops at Caesars?

Questions in the interest of the public must be asked and answered, because Small advertised this as the “Official Atlantic City Kickoff Event.”

It’s why we’re rooting for this to have been an official Atlantic City energy.

However, if Small somehow co-mingled personal and official City business … that’s a whole different story.

Small has more than enough problems these days, as he stands officially charged for numerous child abuse and witness tampering criminal offenses.
