Do you remember this amazing 1920s mansion near Atlantic City, NJ?
If you've lived in or around the Atlantic City area for a while, maybe you remember that big, old mansion that used to be on the Black Horse Pike in West Atlantic City.
When I was younger, every time my parents would drive down the shore into Atlantic City, that building caught my eye.
Not too long ago, I unearthed the first digital camera I bought over two decades ago and I've been having fun going through thousands of old pictures of South Jersey.
Some of the first pictures that I ever took with that camera were of the old Mansion on Lake's Bay in West Atlantic City.
Originally a mansion built in the 1920s, it became a restaurant and disco many decades later before being demolished in 2002.
The pictures I took were from 2001, not much before it sadly disappeared into the history books.
And even sadder, that lot has been empty since the demolition. The only thing remaining is the frame from the old sign along the highway.
If you have any memories of that property, please drop me an e-mail! Let's take a look around...
