Dr. Oz Was In Atlantic City, New Jersey: Here’s Why [Photos]

A senior member of the President Donald Trump administration took a tour of Atlantic City, New Jersey on Friday, July 18, 2025.

Dr. Mehmet Oz, the administrator of Medicare and Medicaid, took a tour of various AtlantiCare operations with Senator Vince Polistina and AtlantiCare President and CEO Michael Charlton.

Dr. Oz Chose Atlantic City & AtlantiCare

It marks one of Dr. Oz’ very first on-the-ground appearances with an integrated health system. And, De. Oz chose Atlantic City—and AtlantiCare specifically-for this early visit.

We asked Dr. Oz why he chose Atlantic City and AtlanriCare. “I’m impressed at what I saw with Michael (Charlton) and the Senator (Polistina) said Dr. Oz.

During a question and answer session, Dr. Oz discussed the fact that there is a convergence of health care issues in Atlantic City and around the country.

All of these issues remain ongoing challenges in Atlantic County and the Southeastern region.

Senator Vince Polistina Has Been A Champion For AtlantiCare & Atlantic City

Senator Polistina well knows that as Atlantic City goes … so goes the state of New Jersey.

Senator Polistina is very bullish on Atlantic City, AtlantiCare and Stockton University … because he sees the crucial role of meds and eds as vital components for Atlantic County’s well being and the overall economy.

Senator Polistina spoke at yesterday’s event  and thanked Dr. Oz for coming to Atlantic City and AtlantiCare.
