Sick & Tired Of Philadelphia Eagles Quarterback Jalen Hurts Criticism

Full disclosure. I have been a huge fan of Jalen Hurts since his Alabama and Oklahoma college football days. The regular criticism of Hurts is unjust.

The Facts

Critics claim that Hurts is not an elite NFL quarterback. Oh really! Over the past 30 Philadelphia Eagles games, Hurts’ record is 27-3 … the best in the National Football League.

This includes a 16-0 streak, whereby Hurts hadn’t lost a football game in 351 days.

Hurts is the starting quarterback in 2 of the last 3 Super Bowls … barely losing one and winning last year’s … whereby he was the Super Bowl MVP.

2025 Season

The Philadelphia Eagles are 8-2 this season. They lead their division and own the best record and every tie breaker for the top seed in the NFC.

Hurts’ leadership on the field is beyond question. He’s a winner and a clutch performer. What rarely is talked about is his conduct off the field.

Hurts never says or does the wrong thing. He is a model citizen in every way.

Why Doesn’t Hurts Get The Credit That He Deserves? What More Does Hurts Have To Do?

• Hurts was the SEC Offensive player of the year at 18 years old.
• Hurts was a National college football champion at 19 years old.
• Hurts redeemed himself in Atlanta at 20 years old.
• Hurts was a Heisman finalist at 21 years old.
• Hurts was a Super Bowl quarterback at 24 years old
• Hurts was a Super Bowl Champion at 26 years old.

This remains such a mystery to me. Usually criticism such as Hurts regularly receives … ends when you win a Super Bowl Championship.

Yet, not in Hurts’ case.

It’s wrong and it must stop.
