With new head coach Pete Carroll taking over, Bennett isn't a great fit for his new scheme, but could add some competition at outside corner where Adoree Jackson and Kelee Ringo are battling for the No. 1 job.
Fangio Weighs in on CB Battle at Camp
"It's close," Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said on Monday when asked about the cornerback competition. " I think both of them are having a good camp, but it's close and been happy with both of them and we'll see."
Adding Bennett gives the team another player to evaluate at the position.
Why Booker Became the Odd Man Out
Booker, a talented defensive tackle, got caught in a numbers game. In addition to Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis, and Moro Ojomo, the Eagles like Gabe Hall and rookie Ty Robinson, leaving Booker the odd man out.
Booker appeared in 17 games with Philadelphia notching one sack and 18 total tackles.
