2 homes in Egg Harbor Twp., NJ, destroyed during early morning fire
Firefighters in Egg Harbor Township had their hands full early Wednesday morning battling a blaze that destroyed two homes.
The Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company says the fire started just after midnight at 3083 Ivins Avenue, just off Reega Avenue.
Officials say the call initially came in as a brush fire, but crews arrived to find a house and a mobile home fully engulfed in flames.
Both structures were destroyed.
The fire is being investigated by the EHT Fire Inspections Bureau and the EHT Police Department.
The Cardiff and Bargaintown Volunteer Fire Companies responded to the scene along with the Egg Harbor Township Rescue Squad and the EHT Public Works Department.
No injuries were reported by the fire company.
