Egg Harbor Twp., NJ, Police: Man Argues With Home Depot Workers, Crashes Truck Into Store
A Galloway Township man is facing charges after he allegedly intentionally crashed his pickup truck into The Home Depot in Egg Harbor Township after arguing with employees.
The scene unfolded just before 9:00 Wednesday night at the store on the Black Horse Pike and Tower Avenue.
According to Egg Harbor Township Police, 36-year-old Joseph Kehoe was involved in a "verbal altercation with employees" of the store.
He then exited the store, entered his vehicle in the parking lot, and a short time later drove the vehicle straight through the loading bay doors and into the self-check-out area of the business. Kehoe then fled the scene in his vehicle and was later arrested after he turned himself in at the Atlantic City Police Department.
One person inside the store was injured in the crash.
Kehoe, who was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado, has been charged with multiple criminal offenses and motor vehicle violations, including aggravated assault and causing or risking widespread injury or damage.
Kehoe was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
