Egg Harbor Twp., NJ Police: Man Arrested For 2 Lewd Acts at Store

Authorities in Egg Harbor Township say an Atlantic City man has been arrested after committing two lewd acts inside a store.

Both incidents happened at the Goodwill Store on the Black Horse Pike in the Cardiff section of the township.

This past Wednesday afternoon, just before 2:00, Egg Harbor Township police were called to the store and officers were, "advised by management that a male subject was observed masturbating within the store near the clothing isle and fled when confronted by a store employee."

Management also said the same man did the same thing this past September, but police were not called after he fled the store.

Video surveillance from the business was reviewed and [a] male subject was located by Patrol Units searching the area and taken into custody.

The suspect, identified as 49-year-old Cuong Phung of Atlantic City, was arrested and criminally charged for both incidents.

Once processed, Phung was released on summons complaints in accordance with New Jersey bail reform.

The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
