Will EHT, NJ GOP Committee Members Pick A Democrat Mayor?

A senior Atlantic County Republican has told me that it is possible that two Republican Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey Committee members are considering voting for the lone Democrat to be the next Mayor.

It’s Been Decades Since A Democrat Has Won A Seat On The Egg Harbor Township Committee

The last Democrat is Bob Burns, who served from 1991-1996. Burns was Mayor in 1994.

Democrat Pete Castellano Won A Seat On November 4, 2025.

Castellano defeated appointed Republican committeeman Paul Rosenberg this past Tuesday.

This January, Republicans will still hold a four to one advantage on the Egg Harbor Township Committee.

Maria Bohle Was Mayor of Egg Harbor Township in 1993

Bohle switched her political party registration from Republican to Democrat and was then selected by the other two Democrats to be the mayor.

Will Two Republicans Select Castellano To Be Mayor in January, 2026?

That would be a shocker, but, I’ve been assured that it is under serious consideration.

Why?

There appears to be some dissatisfaction with the current mayor, Laura Pfrommer.

Fricano added an additional 15 acres to Story Book Land.

Today, it is more beautiful then ever and perfectly lit with more than 1,000,000 lights.
