In case you thought that the unprecedented supply chain issues were over in our region and America, guess again.

The photos here are from ShopRite in Somers Point, New Jersey on Sunday, March 27, 2022.

The purpose of this report is not to be critical of ShopRite, as they are one of the finest grocery store chains in American history.

The current supply chain issues are a daily occurrence all over America.

This report is to illustrate that if ShopRite is facing this kind of supply chain challenge, it rightly amplifies how serious this situation remains.

Remember, we were told by our federal government leaders that the supply chain issues were because of COVID-19.

What’s the reason for this now?

Here’s a look at shelves and a refrigerator case at the Somers Point ShopRite from yesterday.

Many, perhaps most people alive have never witnessed such food shortages on a regular basis for this length of time.

It’s almost starting to feel like our “new normal,” an expression that I detest.

This expression ”New Normal” to me, means accepting something that is abnormal and allowing it to exist unchallenged.

To illustrate that the current supply chain issue is unprecedented … just read this sign that is posted in multiple places at ShopRite, Somers Point.

It’s time to demand that basic issues in our society are met. Store shelves shouldn’t be empty. There shouldn’t be limits to how many items you can buy. Gasoline shouldn’t cost $4-5 and even more per gallon. We shouldn’t have 40-year high, runaway inflation.

We live in the greatest country in the history of the world. It should not take more than two years to fix the supply chain problems.

Our national leaders are too focused on scoring political points against one another. They need to get to work and fix the basic problems that have now persisted going into the third year.

If you did your job this bad, you would have been fired long ago. The American people should demand results.

The all-important national mid-term elections will take place on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.

Every registered voter in America can have their say on this one, critical day. The results will largely shape American policy for at least several years to come.

You will be voting for the price at the gas pump, basic supplies, and many other important concerns.
