
Egg Harbor Twp., NJ, Man on Motorcycle Killed in Crash on Memorial Day
A motorcyclist from Egg Harbor Township was killed in a crash in Hamilton Township on Memorial Day.
The Township of Hamilton Police Department says the accident happened around 3:10 Monday afternoon on Weymouth Road near the Winding River Campground.
Preliminary Investigation Findings
According to authorities, a preliminary investigation revealed a 2024 Chevrolet Equinox driven by 78-year-old William Faust of Mays Landing was traveling southbound on Weymouth Road when he made a left turn and was struck by a 2008 Kawasaki motorcycle driven by 71-year-old Vance Virtue of Egg Harbor Township.
Virtue was pronounced dead at the scene while Faust was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Traffic was diverted for several hours while police investigated the incident.
Members of the Township of Hamilton Rescue Squad, AtlantiCare Paramedics, and the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office assisted Hamilton Township officers.
