
Fatal Shooting: Camden County, NJ, Man Surrenders; Charged With Murder
Authorities in Camden County say a man has been charged with murder and weapons offenses in connection to a shooting earlier this month in Camden.

Camden County Prosecutor Grace MacAulay says 20-year-old Jason Mcallister of Camden surrendered to authorities Monday afternoon.
On Tuesday night, May 17th, the Camden County Metro Police Department received a ShotSpotter alert for shots fired at 721 State Street in Camden. At the scene, officers found 31-year-old Luis Vazquez-Garcia inside of a vehicle suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was taken to Cooper University Hospital and pronounced dead minutes later.
Mcallister is currently being held at the Camden County Correctional Facility.
An investigation between the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Camden County Police Department continues.
