The Flyers practiced on Friday before leaving for Montreal to play their final game before the bye week and All-Star break. During the practice, GM Chuck Fletcher provided updates on four injured Flyers.

Brian Elliott - Elliott skated by himself prior to the practice and continues to progress. He will continue to get on-ice work, but there is no timetable for his return.

Michal Neuvirth - Neuvirth was evaluated by doctors on Thursday and continues to rehab. The hope is that he will be able to return to the ice late next week, but there is no timetable for a return.

Corban Knight - Knight is seeing doctors on Friday and the hope is he will be cleared to resume on-ice activity. There is no timetable for his return.

Sam Morin - Morin saw doctors on Wednesday and was cleared to ramp up activities. He’s still about a month away from being ready for an NHL game due to the lengthy recovery, but the focus now shifts on getting him into game shape and now just testing out the injury. There would likely be an AHL conditioning assignment in his future over the next month as well if all progresses well.

In addition to the four players above, the Flyers did activate goalie Anthony Stolarz from injured reserve on Thursday and sent him to the Phantoms for a conditioning stint.

The rest of the Flyers had practice as usual, but there was one notable absence. Dale Weise, who was placed on waivers on Tuesday and cleared on Wednesday, was not on the ice for practice. He will also no be traveling with the team to Montreal for Saturday's game, according to head coach Scott Gordon.

It is rumored that the Flyers are trying to trade Weise. That will require a partner, but it’s becoming clear that he is starting to no longer factor into the Flyers plans.

The Flyers face the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday night at 7:00. Listen to the game on WPG Talk Radio 104.1FM, 1450AM, and 97.3-HD3.
