The Gardner’s Basin section is one of the greatest gems of Atlantic City. It is pristine and beautiful outdoor space.

it was at this time (last year) that Small announced that his administration was preparing to launch a Food Truck Academy … with the support from the newly formed Atlantic City Food Truck Association.

Food trucks were approved to be positioned in O'Donnell Park and Gardner's Basin last year. That promise is about to become a reality this summer.

Atlantic City's summer dining scene has gotten even bigger with food trucks operating at the Atlantic City Seawall in Gardner's Basin and at Captain O'Donnell Memorial Park, bringing new food options to two of the city's most popular warm-weather destinations away from the Boardwalk. Mayor Marty Small, Sr. and the City of Atlantic City's Economic Development team are holding a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday to celebrate the summer launch of this effort, designed to enhance visitor experience and support local entrepreneurs. Food trucks will be on site, giving media a look into their operations, with opportunities to hear directly from operators and city officials about the impact this initiative will have this summer, and has had already, said Mayor Small.
