Former Eagles RB Miles Sanders Lands with Cowboys in Free Agency
Former Eagles running back Miles Sanders is back in the NFC East.
Sanders, the Philadelphia Eagles' second-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft out of Penn State, played four seasons with the team. He was a member of the Eagles NFC Championship team that lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII, rushing for 1,269 yards and 11 touchdowns that season.
After that big season with Philadelphia, he ended up signing a four-year, $25 million contract with the Carolina Panthers. Overall, in four seasons with the Eagles, he totaled 3,708 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns, adding 124 catches for 1,244 yards and three scores.
His time in Carolina didn't go as planned, with 184 carries for 637 yards and three scores in two seasons with the Panthers.
Sanders Signs with NFC East Rival
Sanders was cut by the Panthers this week, and now Eagles fans will see more of him after he landed a one-year free-agent deal with the Dallas Cowboys. He joins former Broncos running back Javonte Williams, who signed with Dallas in free agency, to reshape the Cowboys' backfield.
Former Cowboys running back Rico Dowdle left the team and signed with the Panthers.
