Former Mainland Mustangs pitcher Chase Petty has been promoted to Triple-A.

The 2021 Mainland graduate was a first-round round pick by the Minnesota Twins and then traded to the Cincinnati Reds organization prior to the 2022 season in exchange for Sonny Gray.

Now he is one step away from the majors after going 10-5 with a 4.39 ERA for the Double-A Chattanooga Lookouts striking out 123 batters in 127 innings pitched this season.

The 21-year old had a tremendous 2023 season posting a 1.72 ERA with 66 strikeouts in 18 games and 68 innings between High-A and Double-A.

Chase Petty's Upcoming Fundraiser

Once Petty's season in Louisville is over, he will return home for a charity golf outing at Harbor Pines Golf Club in Egg Harbor Township on October 20th. The event will be raising money for the Chase Petty Foundation, an organization that works to improve the lives of underprivileged children in Millville.
