Friday Eagles Injury Report: Ertz, Howard Questionable for Sunday

The Philadelphia Eagles are finally getting healthy and it could be at the right time.

Back at practice as full participants this week was a laundry list of guys who have missed time recently including, wide receivers Nelson Agholor (knee) and Alshon Jeffery (ankle), along with right tackle Lane Johnson (concussion). Each of those guys missed last week game against Seattle, but were listed as full participants this week and are expected to play.

"Yeah, they're both doing well and trending in the right direction," Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said about his starting wide outs.  "We'll get through today; see where they're at today and hopefully get them to the game."

It will be interesting to see how Pederson uses his wide receivers after indicating earlier this week that rookie J.J. Arcega-Whiteside and third year player Greg Ward would see more time.

"J.J.'s kind of the guy now," Pederson explained on Wednesday. "He's the one that's in that position and he's done some nice things these last couple of games. He's gaining a little more confidence in that. Nelly [WR Nelson Agholor] obviously can play over there. And then bringing [WR] Greg [Ward] up obviously gets some flexibility in the slot. So J.J. and Mack can kind of fill that spot and really kind of back up a couple spots."

Meanwhile, left tackle Jason Peters (knee), QB Carson Wentz (right hand), defensive end Vinny Curry (not injury related), and right guard Brandon Brooks (illness) were all listed as full participants.

The big names on the list were tight end Zach Ertz (hamstring) and running back Jordan Howard (shoulder). Both were limited participants in Friday's practice and listed as questionable for the game.

Ertz missed practice on both Wednesday and Thursday.

"Zach is doing fine," Pederson said. "We're going to get him on the grass today [to] run and see where he's at. Go through practice a little bit and then find out at the end of the day. Just wanted to kind of keep cautious with him, keep him rested and keep him ready to go."

As for Howard, it still seems unlikely to see him suit up considering he still hasn't been cleared for contact.

"Not yet. Still the same," Pederson said.
