Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina says a man was killed early Saturday morning while sitting in his home by gunshots fired from outside.

Authorities say 48-year-old Timothy Thomas of Palmyra was in his living room in the 400 block of Cinnaminson Avenue when multiple shots were fired into the home around 2:30 AM.

Thomas, who was struck in the chest, was taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden where he was pronounced dead about 90 minutes later.

A relative who was in the same room with Thomas when the shooting happened was not hurt.
