The Atlantic County, New Jersey Prosecutor’s Office has obtained yet another guilty plea. This time, a Galloway Township, New Jersey man has pleaded guilty to robbery and firearm charges.

The Guilty Plea

Monday, April 20, 2026, Manuel Alicea, 32 years old, from Galloway Township, New Jersey, pleaded guilty before New Jersey Superior Court Judge Donna Taylor, for the following:

  • second-degree robbery.
  • second-degree certain persons not to possess weapons.

Additionally, under the terms of his guilty plea, Alicea may receive a sentence of six years … “subject to the No Early Release Act concurrent to 10 years in New Jersey State Prison with a five-year parole ineligibility period” said the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Says …

On August 14, 2024, at approximately 10:00 a.m., ACPD officers responded to an armed robbery where the victim, G.K., was pistol whipped with a handgun. The victim provided a statement indicating he was robbed and struck with a weapon. The belongings that were reported to be stolen were $45.00 cash, an EBT card, and a cell phone. The defendant also attempted to take his bike. The victim identified the suspect as Manuel Alicea. A warrant was issued for the defendant's arrest, said the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Collaboration Between The Atlantic City & Egg Harbor City Police Departments

On August 26, 2024, there was an effective collaboration between the Atlantic City Police Department and the Egg Harbor city Police Department.

The Atlantic City Police Department learned that Manuel Alicea was on a train in Egg Harbor City. They also learned that Alicea was wanted for the above mentioned robbery.

Alicea fled on Fournier and avoid the police. They caught him and “there was a search of the backpack that the defendant previously had on his person, which contained a 9mm Taurus handgun with an extended magazine and hollow point ammunition. Also located in the backpack was mail belonging to the defendant” said the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Prior Criminal Record for Manuel Alicea

Alicea has previous convictions for narcotics distribution, which qualified him as “a certain person not allowed to possess firearms.”

alicea will continue to be head at ACF, pending his sentencing, which is scheduled for June 8, 2026.
