
Galloway Twp., NJ, Man Pleads Guilty to Assaulting Wife at Motel
A Galloway Township man will likely be spending a few years behind bars for assaulting his wife at a motel about a year ago.
On Friday, 50-year-old Naaron Reed pleaded guilty to second-degree aggravated assault on a domestic violence victim.
Domestic Violence Incident at Galloway Motel
On February 16th of last year, Galloway Township police were called to the Red Roof Inn & Suites. At the scene, they spoke to the victim, who advised that her husband, Reed, wrapped his arm around her neck, strangling her.
The victim explained that Reed threw her onto the floor and she was able to escape to the hotel bathroom, where she called 9-1-1. Reed was arrested at the scene.
Plea Agreement Calls for State Prison Time
A plea calls for a sentence of three years in state prison, of which he will be required to serve 85 percent, before becoming eligible for parole.
Sentencing is scheduled for April 10th.
Assistant Prosecutor Brooke Melissa Hoffner represented the State in this case.
