Gas prices continue to tumble across South Jersey to the point that some of the cheapest gas on the East Coast is now in our backyard.

While regular unleaded is still in the $1.60s and $1.70s in the greater Atlantic City area, if you head west on the Black Horse Pike into Gloucester County, you'll find a string of gas stations in Turnersville where gas is now selling for $1.49/gallon.

Tom Kloza, Oil Price Information Service Global head of energy analysis, recently told Townsquare Media, “I think the winter is going to be incredibly cheap. It’ll be cheaper than last year, which was the cheapest winter since the Great Recession.”

While some South Jersey drivers are celebrating gas for $1.49, drivers in North Jersey are a few pennies happier where gas is as low as $1.45. Across the nation, regular unleaded is down to $1.29/gallon in parts of Oklahoma, Kansas, and Texas...

How low can they go??? This picture is real. Gas prices have now dropped below 50 cents in Houghton Lake!
