Atlantic County, New Jersey Executive Dennis Levinson has confirmed that he has received a written communication from General Mark Loeben, who is the Chairman of the National Aerospace Research and Technology Park (NARTP) Board of Directors.

Atlantic County government, along with Senator Vince Polistina and his state legislative team have spent many years developing a blueprint to achieve a diversified economic approach so that the Atlantic City area is not disproportionately reliant on only the casino industry for the financial health of the region.

There has been a focus on helping the following industries to thrive as follows:

  • Casino industry.
  • Education (Stockton University in particular).
  • AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center.
  • Aerospace innovation, research and development.

General Loeben wrote:

“Your leadership has been crucial in ensuring that NARTP continues at the forefront of aerospace research and technology development. The support and resources provided by Atlantic County have laid a strong foundation for initiatives that not only benefit our local economy but also position our region as a hub for technological advancement and workforce development. Your support has been vital in helping us secure partnerships and funding. We greatly value the strong relationship we share with Atlantic County and appreciate your dedication to fostering an environment where innovation can thrive,” said General Loeben.

Earlier this month, The New Jersey Economic DevelopmentAuthority (NJEDA) Board approved $ 8.6 million for the development and construction of the Aerospace Innovation Center (AIC), a Strategic Innovation Center (SIC) located in Atlantic County,

It will be the first in New Jersey history to focus on innovation in aviation.

We have obtained a copy of General Loeben’s letter, and, a copy of Levinson’s letter to the Atlantic County Board of Commissioners and Senator Polistina and the 2nd District state legislative team.
