Here is my recommendation for a great escape to Cape May, New Jersey. You decide whether you want to getaway for the day … or, spoil yourself with an overnight stay.

Congress Hall Is America’s Oldest Seaside Resort

We are here right now. Congress Hall has been open since 1816. You can feel the history from the moment you walk inside.

The gorgeous marble floors and the flag draped, history, hallway, pictured above… It is truly magnificent.

Curtis Bashaw and his team at Cape Resorts have done an astonishingly amazing job retaining the history, while perfectly updating it with modern amenities. It’s perfection.

We Just Had Breakfast In The Blue Pig Tavern

You can see above, The Blue Pig Tavern is a Great dining experience for breakfast lunch or dinner.

It’s farm to table dining, with the freshest ingredients coming from the Cape Resorts own Beach Plum Farm.

The Brown Room

A wonderful lounge, with an atmosphere that will take you back in time.

The Boiler Room

We love The Boiler Room. The food is great. Wood Fire Pizza Oven is amazing. Dancing, DJ and regular love entertainment. It’s a great spot. More photos are below.
